CAST ON STRAP MACHINE TYPE COS10


The COS10 requires only one supervisor to process 3 automotive batteries per cycle at the phenomenal rate of up to 9 batteries per minute, making this the fastest cast-on strap machine in the TBS range. The machine is fitted as standard with many motorised adjustments to minimise the time needed for battery type changeover.

Standard COS10 features:

  • Double buffer stores up to 120 groups with motorised pocket adjustment and high speed transport beams.
  • Automatic lug alignment includes motorised changeover and uses a vibrating table and clamp system to gently arrange plates into alignment.
  • Automatic lug bending (if required) with motorised height adjustment ensures that the end plate lugs fit into the mould strap cavity precisely.
  • Automatic unload and case-out includes motorised table height setting and positive group insertion. Rotating gripper heads ensure correct group orientation.
  • PLC Step-by-step control with machine diagnostics for simplified set up.
  • Lug brushing (secondary lug preparation) / Fluxing essential for optimised cast-on quality.
  • Patented mould technology features double-dip mechanism and up to 18 temperature control zones.
  • Mould cooling water control fully automatic via PLC and touch screen operator interface with self-setting cooling bypass times.
  • Additional mould pre-heat station complete with duplicate temperature controls and water cooling.
  • Particle and fume extraction for a cleaner working environment.
  • Sprue brushing (excluding out-board flag designs).
