LID PLACING

Speedshift Lid Placing machines can process automotive and truck batteries and are capable of processing up to 8 batteries per minute with 2 pick-up heads. They can be supplied individually or as part of a Speedshift assembly line.

LP2 Machine

Standard Features 

  • Continuous operation - New lids can be stacked in one magazine while the second magazine continues feeding the machine.
  •  Intelligent lid rotation - The LP2 will accomodate certain lid types stacked with posts in either orientation.
  • Operator Safety - Fully interlocked guarding system for operational safety.
  • Part Loading - The machine will continue to operate even if the magazines are part loaded and no more lids are available.
  • Push-button tooling changeover - Initiated from the operator interface by selecting a battery type from the menu of pre-configured 'recipes'. Each set of lid holder tooling may be swapped automatically using a cassette loaded on the conveyor.
  • Networkable PLC control - allows remote diagnostics, advanced reporting and battery data to be downloaded from other Speedshift machines. All operational process parameters such as timings are also set and monitored through the interface.(Allen Bradley or Siemens panels available)
