LEAK TESTING

Speedshift Leak testing machines can process all known standard automotive and truck batteries and are capable of processing up to 12 batteries per minute with 3 test heads. Leak Testing machines can be installed individually or as part of a complete SpeedShift assembly line solution.

Standard Features

  • Push-button changeover - fully automatic, fast and operator error free. The automatic changeover, includes the test head tooling as well as battery positioning stops and front and back guide rails.
  • Intelligent process control - the testing process is set and monitored through the operator interface. All machine positional settings, pressures and timings are stored safely and can be accessed from the recipe recall functions.
  • Fully programmable test regime - for each cell and battery type. All pressures and timings can be set and monitored from the operator interface.
  • Individual pressure transducers - for acurate monitoring of each cell, with full diagnostic capability. Transducer resolution typically 0.05 PSI.
  • Networkable PLC control -allows remote diagnostics, advanced management and battery data to be downloaded from other SpeedShift machines.
  • Computer controlled motor movements - accurate, repeatable positioning of all key process parameters through the operator interface, using the SpeedShift closed loop control system. Very precise and small adjustments, such as box and test head postition, can be accurately made.
  • Automatic reject system - batteries with suspect seals are auotmatically rejected from the assembly line, for checking.
