The main drive is a 2-HP motor controlled by an A/C variable speed drive. A torque limiter protects the system. Power transmission is by heavy-duty cog belts. The computer touchscreen system is user friendly and self-teaching. An access code protects all computer adjustments. The following screens are included: complete diagnostics, guard interlocks, production management and individual function setups.

Three lug brushing stations are included. Each station has two-150 mm (6 in.) diameter brushes, external brush adjustments, full guarding and ventilation. Short front brushes on the feeders help stabilize plate during feeding. This feature is very useful when trying to process warped or dry-charged plates. The separator guidance system handles thin, fragile, standard and heavy industrial separator types. The E-Z load plate loading system eliminates the need for manual plate pushers. Independent adjustments on each feeder accommodate different plate types.

A heavy-duty cutter-folder-sealer provides precise, infinitely adjustable separator cut lengths from 203 mm (8") to 315 mm (12.4"). The vertical stacker aligns completed groups from the sides, in preparation for transfer into the COS machine.
