SQUEEZE WELDING

The SpeedShift squeeze welding machine is a key element of the TBS SpeedShift range of assembly equipment. Combining production proven technology and innovative cost effective designs the squeeze welding machines meet the exacting demands of both battery producers and purchasers - consistent, high quality intercell welding.

Standard Features

  • Flexible - available in various layouts to suit all types of lead acid batteries (6x1, 3x2, 3x1, Nato, 8v) with production rates to suit even the fastest assembley lines. Side-terminal batteries can also now be processed using a unique rotating head mechanism.
  • Precision weld firing - the WS200 system ensures repeatable, high quality welds even with variations in lead temperature and operating pressure.
  • Push-button changeover - battery data and weld parameters for up to 100 battery types stored in database.
  • Networkable PLC control - using the latest Windows systems allows support, data transfer and reporting.
  • Weld transformers - compact water cooled weld transformers fixed to weld head minimise current loss
  • Flag Alignment system - for automotive batteries allows lead savings to be made by having smaller welding flags (certain design restrictions apply)
  • Touch screen operator interface - with password protection, diagnostics, current monitoring and statistical data (colour optional)
  • Weld jaw design - includes positive jaw opening and centralisation
  • Weld control - features latest state of the art microprocessor which can store data on 100 weld sizes. Includes constant voltage device to control primary voltage within +/-5% for line voltage changes of +/-15% to maintain weld quality.
  • Reject station - automatically rejects suspect batteries for further inspection
