Weld Shear Testing

The TBS Weld Shear Testing Machine range represent a significant step forward in non-destructive, in-line shear testing. Designed for automatically shear testing through-the-partition squeeze welds, they are further additions to the Speedshift range of modular assemblt line equipment.

Standard Features

  • Floating head position - the position of sheer jaws are tolerant to variations in weld flag positions.
  • Pre-programmable 2 stage test regime - for repeatable process with precise test pressure settings via operatyor interface. minimum changeover time.
  • Closed loop feedback - jaw positions continuously measured throughout testing comparison with control.
  • Automatic reject system - batteries with suspect welds are auotmatically rejected from assembly line.
  • Minimal operator involvement for reduced parts wear, damage and error settings.
  • Motorised machine movements - precise, repeatable positioning of all process parameters such as box position using Speedshift closed loop control.
  • Networkable PLC control - allows remote diagnostics, advanced reporting and battery data to be transferred between Speedshift machines.
